BACKSTAGE TOURS

During your “Behind the Scenes Tour” you will walk where legends have walked and see evidence of their time at the Don Gibson Theatre.  You will learn about the legendary Don Gibson through stories and a gallery of rare artifacts from the Don Gibson American Music Foundation Collection. Throughout your tour, you will hear the history of this 1939 Art Deco building, previously the State  Theatre and how and when it was transformed into the Don Gibson Theatre, welcoming artists and guests from around the world. Hear stories about Don Gibson and some of the artists that have played at the Theatre named in his honor. Explore backstage and the behind the scenes area where the artists hangout. Make sure to take your picture with the backstage autograph wall where artists that have performed here sign the wall and leave remarks. Stand onstage where nationally recognized artists such as Travis Tritt, Vince Gill, Lisa Marie Presley, Chubby Checker and many others have stood and performed their hits. To remember your time at the Don Gibson Theatre, you also receive a souvenir guitar pick with one of Don’s songs highlighted.

With groups of 10 or more, the cost is $5.00 per person.
